Had some time today so I recorded this cover with the newly acquired pre-loved Ibanez Gio GSA 370QM .
The guitar is still not set up yet and its tune to drop D :/ (she sounds pretty wicked!)

Hope you enjoy it.

Sup Mad....

I embedded your YouTube, no links to follow.  I like the song, I have never heard it before. Nice groove, and I was loving you nice thick tone. Very cool. Glad you got a deal and are enjoying your new axe!  new gear
Sometimes I wonder why I play, then I play and know....

tks Dark. i've always wondered how you guys do that! not sure how to embed links.

belleswell (or was it rogerwilco) deserves a mention here. I was introduced to Porcupine Tree on the 'Name that riff!' thread. Its a bit tricky keeping time on this tune but once you get that groove, it just flows.

The Ibz Gio is not so bad keeping in mind the 'small amount' i paid for it :p. The FR trem arm keeps getting 'loose' & thats the only issue I've had with it so far. Might need some plumbers' tape on that. I think once it gets set up properly, it ought to be ok.

Cool video Mad. I think i need to snag a guitar like that.

The embed shortcut codes on the forum aren't working for some reason. On your YouTube video page, there's an embed code you can copy and paste and your video will show up though :)

Coolness itself! It may very well have been me with the name that riff. I am a huge Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson fan!
But you have not done the vocals and drums for this yourself. How was this recorded? Backing track?

Thanks for the tip! I'll have a look around and see if there are any covers i'd like to do. Working on Opeth's Ghost of Perdition (I even try to sing...) these days. The acoustic part in the middle is very hard to do correctly.
